Street Lighting

Maintenance of street lights is divided between the City of Revelstoke and BC Hydro. If the street light has a metal pole, it is maintained by the City of Revelstoke and is identified with a yellow tab with an R followed by a number. If it has a wooden pole, it is maintained by BC Hydro and is identified by a small metal plate with a 7- to 11-digit number. To report issues with a BC Hydro light please complete this street light repair request form.

Night Sky Lighting

Comparison of Neighborhood Lit by Old Versus New Streetlights

In the example above, the new directional LED street lights not only create a clearer, safer environment for drivers and pedestrians but also enhance residents’ comfort by keeping nighttime lighting focused and unobtrusive.
