December 9, 2025 - Short Term Rental Public Engagement

The City of Revelstoke is inviting community members to review three policy scenarios for Short Term Rental regulations in early 2026. 

The City’s Development Services team have prepared three policy scenarios for how Short Term Rentals can be regulated in Revelstoke, based on the results of the initial community engagement (completed in the spring of 2025) and feedback from Council. The City is now seeking feedback that will be used to inform these future regulations.

November 18, 2025 - Revelstoke’s Living Wage Rises to $27.80 per hour

The cost of living in Revelstoke has reached new heights, with the 2025 living wage climbing to $27.80 per hour—the highest since calculations began. The increase is driven primarily by rising housing costs, according to this year’s Living Wage report.

A prolific vandal appeared in Provincial Court to plead guilty to seven counts of vandalism, including graffiti and fire damage, in several City of Revelstoke parks.

Revelstoke Fire Rescue Services responded to a residential structure fire on Pearkes Drive on Tuesday, August 12. Responding units included Engine 1, Engine 2, Ladder 6, Rescue 7, and two Command vehicles with 17 Firefighters.

Revelstoke Fire Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a gas line struck. Upon arrival, crews discovered a severed two-inch propane distribution line venting gas uncontrollably.

February 10, 2025 - Fire Rescue Crews respond to two weekend structure fires

Revelstoke Fire Rescue Services received calls for two residential structure fires this weekend. The first call came in at 2:11 a.m. on February 8, 2025 in the Hideaway Trailer Park, and the second at 3:20 a.m. on February 9, 2025 on Law Road. 

The Fire Department thanks BC Hydro, Fortis, BC Ambulance, and the RCMP for their assistance with both of the weekend incidents.
