On August 16 at 5:30 pm, the City of Revelstoke was notified that a single water sample from the Big Eddy resulted in an abnormal bacteriologica test result. In consultation with the Interior Health, a precautionary Water Quality Advisory is issued.
City staff will provide updates as they are available.

The City of Revelstoke is excited to unveil the installation of the next phase of the comprehensive wayfinding strategy created by Cygnus Design Group in consultation with the City of Revelstoke and Tourism Revelstoke.
Residents and visitors will have noticed new signs appearing in the downtown core recently, with more on their way! The new signage will improve visitor navigation and complements the cohesive look of previous phases that reflects Revelstoke’s brand and history. The new directional signage also includes a map of the downtown core identifying key tourist attractions as well as a “You are Here” component!

The RCMP Musical Ride will arrive in Revelstoke on July 4th to celebrate the150th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Two performances will take place at the Selkirk Saddle Club, 1447 Airport Way. Performances will be at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm with preshow performances at 1:30 pm and 5:30 pm featuring the Selkirk Saddle Club Youth Riders.

Today, the City celebrated the completion of the Williamson Lake Park Upgrade project funded through the Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) and identified in the Resort Development Strategy.
Williamson Lake is a major tourist attraction in summer, with the only outdoor swimming area in town, a children’s play area, and a City-operated campground.

Today, the City launched a six-week public engagement process to hear the community’s thoughts about potential options for the future of the Revelstoke Forum and Curling Club.
“The Revelstoke Forum has served this community well for the last 60 years. It’s now time to re-imagine the arena and what our community needs and wants going forward,” noted Mayor Sulz. “Revelstoke continues to grow, and our residents and business community are interested in greater access to year-round recreation and tourism opportunities. The arena is at that heart of how we meet those needs.”

Following close on the heels of the City’s Affordable Housing Summit on March 9, 2023, Council and staff are excited to announce our success in obtaining a $500,000 grant from the Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program – Forest Impact Transition (REDIP-FIT) stream for a Revelstoke Infrastructure Development of Economic Activities (Revelstoke IDEA) project.
Today, Mayor Gary Sulz and Councillor Aaron Orlando presented the Revelstoke Community Housing Society, co-chairs Sheena Bell and Michael Brooks-Hill, as well as executive director Kira Wolf with a $100,000 cheque to support their next project and their ability to pursue external funding.
Council and staff welcome Evan Parliament as the City’s new permanent Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Since being appointed as CAO on an interim basis in August 2022, Mr. Parliament facilitated the transition of the new 2022-2026 Council members, provided guidance to the City’s senior leadership team, and embraced our growing community.
