The public will now have access to key community economic development data through the community economic development dashboard, an interactive, online information management tool used to track, analyze, and display relevant community metrics and data points.
The pilot project was initiated in early 2021 by the Revelstoke Economic Development Commission of the City of Revelstoke & CSRD Area B sub-committee to empower local organizations and businesses across sectors with access to accurate, timely data, and to inform economic and social policy decisions at the municipal level.

City Council initiated an organization assessment in conjunction with the 2022 Budget process while searching for a new Chief Administrative Officer.
The City has retained Innova Strategy Group, to conduct an assessment to identify recommendations to improve organizational resilience and better serve the community. Council recognized the timely opportunity to evaluate existing resource potential by identifying efficiencies and opportunities that allow for the realization of Council’s goals and objectives in supporting improved services for local residents and visitors. Council expects a full report soon to help guide decisions for administrative changes to improve community service.

A dog in the temporary care and custody of the City of Revelstoke escaped the City’s Animal Shelter at some time during the evening of Monday, April 11, 2022. The City of Revelstoke staff began their investigation and search last night and notified the RCMP this morning. The dog was deemed dangerous due to unprompted aggressive behaviour and is a risk to members of the public and/or other animals. This dog remains at large.
