 INTERIM SUPPORT

A Registered Building Official will be assisting the City with building services including permitting and inspections during the last week of June and will be scheduled for this time.

Building permit applications are being reviewed by a private consultant for both Part 3 and Part 9 for building permit issuance. This expedites the turnaround for those applications that are complete and have no land use issues.

An amendment to the Building Bylaw will be considered for Adoption by Council on June 18th to permit registered professionals to undertake field inspections and code compliance.

The process to use registered professionals will be issued shortly by Development Services.

The Director of Development Services has initiated a departmental review to ensure efficient and effective processes and use of City resources.
