The Development Services Department considers the implications of a wide range of social, economic, physical, and environmental issues on the livability of the city.
The Department is also responsible for Planning (including Subdivisions, Heritage Alteration Permits, Development Variance Permits, and Development Permits), Building (including Building Permits, Demo permits, Plumbing Permits), and Business licence applications.
The Department works closely with other City departments and the City Council to ensure that Revelstoke remains a safe and attractive community for everyone.
City of Revelstoke Cannot Provide Legal Plans to the Public
As per the Land Title Survey Authority (LTSA), the practice of sharing Land Title plans and documents is not permitted. The LTSA has advised that records provided to Local Governments are copies of records available through the Land Title Office and LTSA is authorized to make land title records publicly available only upon payment of the appropriate statutory fee. Local Governments do not have the authority to distribute, sell or provide access to these materials.
